About The Position

Accuenergy is seeking an Energy and Sustainability Managed Services & Sales Specialist to join their fast-growing team. This role involves providing expert managed services and consulting around energy data management and sustainability strategies using AcuCloud. The specialist will monitor client energy consumption, identify savings opportunities, and recommend improvements. Key responsibilities include managing submeter billing processes, implementing utility tariffs, advising clients on billing best practices, and facilitating measurement and verification (M&V) of energy efficiency projects. The role also involves sales and business development, identifying new managed services opportunities, developing sales strategies, conducting product demonstrations, and achieving sales targets. The specialist will collaborate with the sales team on proposals and contracts, build client relationships, and represent Accuenergy at industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in energy management, sustainability consulting, or related technical services role.
  • Minimum 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in energy services, SaaS, or technology solutions.
  • Direct experience with submeter billing operations and utility tariff structures is required.
  • Familiarity with energy data management software, building automation systems, and submetering solutions.
  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency, demand management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities and close deals in a consultative selling environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex energy data and generate actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, able to engage both technical and executive audiences.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert managed services and consulting around energy data management and sustainability strategies using AcuCloud.
  • Monitor client energy consumption patterns, identify opportunities for savings, and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Manage end-to-end submeter billing processes, including data validation, invoice generation, and reconciliation.
  • Implement and configure complex utility tariffs (time-of-use, demand charges, tiered rates) within the AcuCloud platform.
  • Advise clients on billing best practices, rate structure optimization, and cost allocation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot billing discrepancies and provide clear, actionable resolutions.
  • Facilitate measurement and verification (M&V) of energy efficiency projects consistent with IPMVP guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed energy reports, dashboards, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist clients in meeting regulatory compliance and sustainability goals by leveraging system analytics and tariff assessments.
  • Provide proactive support and maintenance notifications focusing on performance monitoring and anomaly detection.
  • Identify and pursue new managed services opportunities within existing client accounts and new prospects.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our managed services client base and increase revenue.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value of AcuCloud managed services.
  • Maintain CRM and all internal documentation for lead generation and tracking.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals, quotes, and contracts for managed services engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads and promote Accuenergy's services.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for managed services.
  • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Follow all procedures in compliance with Accuenergy (Canada) Inc standard policy and operation regulations.
  • Any other operation-related responsibilities may be added as company continues to grow.
