About The Position

This U.S. based position is for a Services Project Manager who will be accountable for managing moderate size and complexity strategic account project orders from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The role is instrumental in mobilizing, managing, and reporting on service deployments for key strategic customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of project team lead or site execution manager experience involving electrical power distribution equipment and application in a datacenter environment. Requirements

  • At least 3-4 years of project team lead or site execution manager experience involving electrical power distribution equipment and application in a datacenter environment (switchgear, ups, building systems, etc.).
  • Understanding of subcontractor management, project financials, and risk mitigation.
  • Technical knowledge of building/IT infrastructure systems, including but not limited to; medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, fire / security, cooling, heating.
  • Strong practical knowledge of data center infrastructure systems to include ability to understand and review one-lines and three-line drawings.
  • Technical understanding and communication to peers/management and client POCs.
  • Experience leading and developing a project team to achieve improved results, measured through increased customer satisfaction, increase project profitability.
  • Experience supervising a technical staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Project.

Responsibilities

  • Manage moderate size and complexity strategic account project orders (customer, affiliate, recall, etc.) from start to finish, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
  • Mobilize, manage, and report on service deployments for key strategic customers.
  • Ensure all Schneider Electric safety policies and requirements are met at any onsite project locations.
  • Validate the project’s statement of work and contract terms with the customer, including both technical and commercial elements, and serve as the lead contact for the customer for the balance of the project order.
  • Develop a project schedule and communicate with the customer to ensure expectations are being met, with direct engagement with internal manufacturing facilities and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor the execution of the customer’s project order through kick-off meetings, communication to all parties, and exchange of technical requirements and project plan information. Coordinate all Schneider Electric onsite activities including subcontracting.
  • Lead the monitor and control of the performance of the customer’s project through its lifecycle, including task completion verification, project team monitoring, managing project updates, schedule reporting, issue resolution, and contract administration.
  • Lead the closeout of the customer’s project, including financial reconciliation, verification of job site equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training support completion.
  • Solve problems with customer interaction that results in positive feedback and improved relationship.
  • Utilize a base knowledge of Schneider Electric products and their use and demonstrate an understanding of fundamental project management knowledge, processes, and terminology.
  • Ensure each project is executed to meet or exceed customer requirements while staying within financial boundaries of cost and margin.
  • Communicate project risk (technical & financial) and mitigation plans once an issue is identified.
  • Accurately predict the financial performance for revenue recognition to SLM, including original forecast, change orders, and cost forecasts based on incurred costs and estimate to complete.
  • Perform customer site visits as needed.
  • Coordinate and develop sequence of operations and like documents as required to support the execution team.
