About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Contract Negotiator for the Airbus A220 Program Digital Solutions - Customer Service team, based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. The Digital Solutions - Customer Service team is responsible for the digital products used by Customer Service functions as well as the digital products used by A220 customers. You will be part of the Customer and Business Management team, which is responsible for customer relations related to the digital tools used by A220 customers. You will work closely with the Skywise-the-company team and the contracts teams for the Americas. The team structure is designed to promote cross-functional collaboration, fostering autonomy, mutual support, and collective learning. The contract negotiator develops, drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts for the services sold to our clients. They work from standard contract templates, which are then customized and modified according to business needs and negotiations with our clients.

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in business, business law, or a related field
  • You have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in managing, drafting, and negotiating contracts (suppliers or customers)
  • You possess strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, and you are creative, meticulous, and detail-oriented
  • You are advising and building trusting relationships with various stakeholders and clients
  • You are an excellent communicator
  • You are customer-focused while protecting Airbus's interests
  • You are bilingual in French and English
  • You have strong organizational skills and excellent time management abilities
  • You are willing to travel occasionally to negotiate with clients and service providers
  • This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand specific technical and business needs and develop appropriate contractual strategies
  • Establish close and trusting relationships with our clients
  • Define, create, and write contractual standards, taking into account legal risks, company policies, and business needs. Contractual standards are validated by the legal department and the business before publication.
  • Negotiate contracts with our clients, adapt and amend service contracts in accordance with objectives and policies
  • Identify potential risks in contractual clauses, assess their impact, and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively
  • Implement established governance, including obtaining business and management approvals before contract signing. Once the contract is signed, other teams take over its execution.
