About The Position

LeJeune Steel Company is hiring a Services Buyer to purchase outsourced services that support steel fabrication and project execution. The role is based out of the company’s Minneapolis office and reports to the Procurement Operations Lead. The Services Buyer works with procurement, shop, project, logistics, and service-provider teams to secure project pricing, coordinate service schedules and load movements, maintain purchase-order and tracking records, and address discrepancies and procurement risks.

The position requires basic computer proficiency, strong organization and attention to detail, communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. The stated annual pay range is $50,000–$80,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The role is eligible for an annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance. Offers are contingent on satisfactory completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check. The position is not eligible for sponsorship.

• Ability to review service requirements, coordinate load movements, maintain LEED and MTR documentation, identify discrepancies, and resolve scheduling or delivery issues.
• Flexibility and adaptability to transition between priorities with little or no difficulty.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with purchasing, ERP, or material-tracking systems.
• NetSuite and Tekla Powerfab experience.
• Familiarity with galvanizing, rolling or bending, outsourced processing, logistics, or structural steel fabrication.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the purchasing of service-related orders required to support fabrication and project execution.
• Procure galvanizing, rolling, and related outsourced processing services.
• Review service requirements for accuracy, including scope, specifications, load details, schedule requirements, pricing, and required completion dates.
• Coordinate with Shop Leads, Project Managers, and Logistics on timely delivery of loads to and from galvanizers and rolling contractors.
• Coordinate with service providers to confirm capacity, schedules, pricing, load readiness, and completion status.
• Work with the Procurement Operations Lead while quoting services and securing project pricing.
• Generate purchase orders in NetSuite for service-oriented orders and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Obtain, verify, organize, and maintain LEED and Material Test Report (MTR) documentation, ensuring records are complete and available to project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate visibility in BlackHyve for loads moving to and from service providers.
• Communicate service status, schedule changes, delays, and procurement risks to appropriate project, shop, logistics, and procurement stakeholders.
• Address service, pricing, purchase order, transportation, or delivery discrepancies in coordination with internal teams and service providers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
