About The Position
The Services Assistant provides catering, cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry support at Riverton Hospital. The role helps ensure the health unit runs efficiently and provides a clean, welcoming environment for clients. Duties include helping prepare and deliver meals, attending to dietary requirements, completing general cleaning and linen tasks, performing minor sewing repairs, and assisting with stock recording. On-the-job training is provided; previous catering or housekeeping experience is not required.
Requirements

- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety standards.
- Commitment to delivering quality service to clients and staff.
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements, including a DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check and National Police Certificate for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, service, and delivery of meals, including breakfast, soups, and quick-serve foods.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including high window cleaning and carpet shampooing.
- Support laundry tasks, including washing, folding, ironing, and delivering clean linen.
- Plate and deliver food promptly and respond carefully to client dietary requirements.
- Complete minor sewing repairs.
- Assist with stock recording.
