About The Position

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, or designee, the Servicer is responsible for the daily servicing of Pace vehicles, including fueling, cleaning, and maintaining proper fluid and fuel levels. The role also supports the out-stationed bus fleet and performs vehicle, facility, and grounds maintenance. Work is performed in a garage and outdoors, with exposure to loud noises, noxious odors, and inclement weather. The duties may be required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This is a safety-sensitive position and is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or telecommuting. The position is bargained-for and subject to the terms of a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary is $28.93 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of previous experience in diesel and gasoline vehicle repair and/or relevant technical school training.
Must have or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsements.
Ability to operate all company equipment and knowledge of the service area.
Ability to lift 75 pounds to waist height and carry that weight for a minimum of ten feet.

Responsibilities

Fuel, clean, and maintain proper fluid and fuel levels in Pace vehicles.
Accurately record fuel and fluid information.
Support the out-stationed bus fleet.
Operate and service the washrack/cleaner.
Empty farebox vaults and take farebox readings.
Park and spot vehicles and equipment.
Maintain bulletins, flyers, and other materials on vehicles.
Routinely clean vehicles, buildings, grounds, and equipment used to perform duties.
Perform building custodial duties, including snow removal, cleaning, painting, and groundskeeping.
Complete all required documents and reports for work performed.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
