About The Position

The Principal ServiceNow Technical Architect is a senior architecture leader responsible for designing, governing, and evolving enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions. This role sits within the ServiceNow platform space and focuses on solution architecture, platform architecture, and integrations rather than application-level development. The architect will lead the design of scalable, secure, and well-governed ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, and additional ServiceNow modules, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, integration strategies, and release management best practices (including code promotion and update sets). This position partners closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and enterprise architecture to ensure ServiceNow solutions integrate effectively with the broader technology ecosystem.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in platform architecture, integrations, and release management.
• Experience designing end-to-end ServiceNow solutions, focusing on interactions with enterprise systems.
• Experience defining and enforcing enterprise architecture principles, standards, and patterns.
• Experience leading architecture design activities including solution modeling, component identification, and quality reviews.
• Experience evaluating IT and business processes, identifying architectural gaps, and recommending improvements.
• Architectural leadership across ServiceNow capabilities including Core Platform, CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, Integrations, Security, and Release Management.
• Knowledge of best practices for code promotion, update sets, and SDLC alignment.
• Experience supporting inbound and outbound integrations.
• Ability to partner with development teams to ensure solutions meet architectural standards.
• Experience analyzing enterprise business drivers and translating them into architectural requirements and solution designs.
• Experience developing and maintaining current-state and future-state architectures and roadmaps.
• Experience coordinating solution architecture implementation and modification activities.
• Experience supporting architectural disciplines and ensuring alignment to enterprise IT strategy.
• Ability to identify organizational, financial, and skills impact of architectural decisions.
• Experience leading and supporting architecture governance.
• Ability to "sell" the architecture process and its value.
• Experience collaborating with EPMO/PMO.
• Experience facilitating evaluation and selection of software products, standards, and configurations.
• Ability to document solution architecture designs, decisions, and analysis clearly and thoroughly.

Responsibilities
