About The Position

ServiceNow Developer The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to support business processes and technical requirements. This role collaborates closely with product owners, process owners, and cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions aligned with ITIL standards and enterprise architecture. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop ServiceNow solutions including forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, and integrations. Configure and customize ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, CMDB, ITOM, or custom applications depending on business needs. Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the grooming, estimation, and execution of development tasks. Collaborate with platform architects and administrators to implement best practices for performance, scalability, and security. Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and resolve platform issues. Create and maintain technical documentation including requirements, design specs, test plans, and release notes. Support ServiceNow upgrades by validating changes, updating customizations, and ensuring platform compatibility. Ensure compliance with ITSM processes, internal controls, and governance standards. Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement of the platform.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience configuring and developing on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow development frameworks.
  • Experience with workflow automation, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI policies.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations and JSON/XML data structures.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, etc.).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Detail‑oriented with good analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS (ITSM/HRSD/ITOM/CMDB/etc.).
  • Experience with ServiceNow ATF, Integration Hub, and Scoped Applications.
  • Background in developing enterprise applications or supporting large-scale ITSM programs.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow security and role‑based access controls (RBAC).
  • Experience with DevOps practices, Git, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing.
