About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to translate complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow. This role involves leading the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices, and providing technical expertise and guidance to other developers. The developer will be responsible for configuring and enhancing ServiceNow applications, staying current with product features and industry trends, and conducting technical assessments to improve existing implementations. Key tasks include reviewing functionality, performing testing, debugging problems, supporting documentation, demonstrating applications, and participating in platform upgrade activities. The position also requires ensuring the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions. Guidehouse is a global AI-led professional services firm delivering advisory, technology, and managed services to commercial and government sectors, focusing on healthcare, financial services, energy, infrastructure, and national security markets, with approximately 18,000 professionals.

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • US Citizenship is contractually required for this role.
  • Minimum of THREE (3) years of professional experience.
  • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices depending on the need up to 3 times per week.
  • A bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Modules such as GRC, SPM, and ITSM, as well as with App Engine and Scoped Apps.
  • Strong experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide, AngularJS), Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people at all levels.
  • Ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and demands.
  • Heightened attention to detail when developing technical solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceNow automated testing framework (ATF).
  • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business.
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS, CAD)
  • Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST.
  • Agile, SCRUM or SAFe certifications.
  • General understanding of financial management aspects (i.e., financial operations, financial innovation, internal control, risk management, etc.), particularly in a federal environment.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other ServiceNow developers.
  • Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations.
  • Conduct reviews of functionality developed by ServiceNow development team and perform unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Debug and fix technical problems.
  • Support the development of detailed technical and functional documentation.
  • Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users.
  • Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.
