About The Position

The Serviceman II at Heidelberg Materials US Cement LLC is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and machinery within the cement plant, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (cement, mining, or similar).
Proficient in mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair.
Competency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of PLC logic and instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, including conveyors, crushers, kilns, mills, and mobile equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
Perform repairs, replacements, and overhauls of components such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and instrumentation.
Conduct welding, fabrication, and cutting operations as needed for repairs and modifications.
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Operate various heavy equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments regarding equipment status and repair progress.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency breakdowns as required.
Assist in training less experienced personnel and sharing technical knowledge.
