About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the flow of work through the assembly line, ensuring that orders are processed correctly and efficiently. The Service Person will review job cards, manage work in progress, and coordinate with sewing operators to maintain production schedules. This position also involves inventory management for threads and trims, machine repair requests, handling recuts, and data entry into Oracle for quality control.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be able to read and comprehend English language instructions
• Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work well with a team
• Good attendance record
• Ability to navigate a computer
• Standing, sitting, walking, bending as needed.
• Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction.
• Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 40 lbs.
• May be required to operate traditional office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines and telephones if needed.
• Displays ambitious, positive attitude
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships with site leadership and team mates.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work proactively and independently in a fast-changing environment
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

• Reads and reviews job cards and processes according to department procedures.
• Reviews the weekly work in process with the supervisor to ensure the right orders go through the assembly line at the right time.
• Matches work for operators based on order number and cut number.
• Fills out findings and trim restock forms to replace any thread and trim that is needed for the cuts going through the line.
• Signs up machines that need repaired if the supervisor is not available.
• Communicates with all sewing operators.
• Plans for possible slowdowns or sewing operators out of work.
• Handles recuts and enters information from the job card into the Quality Collection Plan in Oracle.
