Requirements

Previous experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or in a similar customer service role within the automotive or truck service industry
Strong knowledge of truck systems, parts, and maintenance procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with service management software and computer systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport
Listen to and document customer concerns and service requests accurately
Prepare and review service estimates, explaining repairs and costs clearly
Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and quality service delivery
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service progress and completion
Maintain detailed and organized service records and documentation
Upsell additional services or maintenance opportunities when appropriate
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty
Stay informed about the latest truck models, parts, and service procedures
