About The Position

Triad Truck Equipment, a Bergey’s family-owned business, is hiring a Service Writer at its Pottstown, Pennsylvania location. The Service Writer serves as the liaison between customers, service technicians, and the production team, helping maintain efficient workflow and provide exceptional customer service. The role involves preparing accurate service quotations and orders, communicating repair needs and job status, scheduling and prioritizing production work, and helping ensure jobs are completed on time. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The posting offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

Interact with customers, document service needs, and prepare detailed service orders.
Communicate job status updates to customers and internal teams.
Schedule and prioritize production work based on capacity, deadlines, and resource availability.
Assign jobs and verify times in DMS.
Coordinate job status updates with all departments.
Track job progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery dates.
Maintain accurate records of services, job timelines, and customer communications.
File warranty claims with manufacturers.
Receive new chassis deliveries and document them.
Answer phone calls and provide price quotes and other information.
Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
