About The Position

The Service to Sales Guide at Goodwin Motor Group will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our service and sales departments. Goodwin Motor Group is proud to serve the drivers of Maine and New Hampshire with popular vehicles, offering a top-notch selection of new and used vehicles, and expert in-house finance, service, and parts centers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain vehicle features and benefits.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Windows computers.
  • Must be an excellent communicator and speaker both online in written communications and face-to-face customer service interactions. The ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial.
  • Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Extended periods of sitting while using a computer are intersected with movement about the facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Protect Dealer Interests.
  • Identify and engage service customers for potential sales.
  • Appraise all warranty and customer pay vehicles and provide them with a complimentary CarFax and free appraisal.
  • Present vehicle features, benefits, and promotions; assist with financing and trade-ins.
  • Work with the sales team for smooth transitions from service to sales.
  • Develop strong customer relationships for repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay updated on vehicle models, features, and promotions.
  • Maintain accurate records and process sales documentation.
  • Document in the CRM all customer communications.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience and address inquiries promptly.
  • Maintains the dealership lot, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable. Assists with seasonal tasks such as snow removal to ensure customer safety and accessibility.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
