About The Position

Beztak Senior Living is seeking to hire a Service Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for ensuring the property, grounds, and equipment are safe, orderly, and visibly appealing. The role involves performing various duties to provide residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment, responding to service requests in a timely manner, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment. The technician will also complete emergency repairs, document repairs and replacements, note building deficiencies, and operate a company or personal vehicle as needed. The role requires working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, and possessing effective interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or related Vocational Training and/or equivalent work experience
• 1-year experience in similar field required

Nice To Haves

• HVAC knowledge and EPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform various duties such as building repairs, snow removal, or groundskeeping to provide residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment.
• Works with a sense of urgency to ensure all service requests are responded to in a timely manner.
• Responsible for inventory management and overseeing the cleanliness and orderly manner of the maintenance shop.
• Maintains and cares for equipment as may be necessary for its continuous operation.
• Completes emergency repairs as may be required to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Documents replacement of appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters, condensers, etc., in all units. Also tracks systems repairs, apartment painting (full paint or touch-up), refrigerator coil cleaning, and other major repairs.
• Notes building deficiencies or needs to Supervisor in writing.
• Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.
• Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills
