The Service Technician with Class B CDL is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vacuum trucks, tankers, and related heavy equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

Hold a valid Class B CDL or higher. A CDL is required for this position.
Maintain a current DOT medical card and meet applicable DOT requirements.
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Must provide standard hand tools up to 1½ inches.

Nice To Haves

One year of mechanical experience is preferred.
Experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic.
Vacuum truck repair experience is a plus; training is available for the right candidate.
Certified Diesel Mechanic credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Service diesel engines, pumps, and vacuum systems.
Complete work orders and process parts requests.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Pick up and deliver trucks as needed, with driving accounting for up to 60% of the role during outage season.
Perform service work when not driving, including PDIs, oil changes, and other maintenance within your experience.
