About The Position
Bowser Automotive is looking for a motivated and experienced Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealership vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to staying current with today's automotive technology.
Requirements
- Previous automotive technician experience preferred.
- Valid Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions Licenses.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Test vehicle systems and components to ensure proper operation.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Complete repairs efficiently and accurately while following manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Perform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, tune-ups, suspension work, air conditioning service, engine repairs, and transmission service.
- Replace or repair worn, damaged, or defective parts.
- Complete multi-point inspections and document repair recommendations.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
- Communicate repair needs with Service Advisors and Service Management.
- Explain vehicle concerns or repair recommendations to customers when necessary.
- Maintain current Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions licenses and complete all required manufacturer and dealership training.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Adhere to all Bowser Automotive safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
