About The Position

Bowser Automotive is looking for a motivated and experienced Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealership vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to staying current with today's automotive technology.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive technician experience preferred.
  • Valid Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions Licenses.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Test vehicle systems and components to ensure proper operation.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete repairs efficiently and accurately while following manufacturer and dealership standards.
  • Perform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, tune-ups, suspension work, air conditioning service, engine repairs, and transmission service.
  • Replace or repair worn, damaged, or defective parts.
  • Complete multi-point inspections and document repair recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
  • Communicate repair needs with Service Advisors and Service Management.
  • Explain vehicle concerns or repair recommendations to customers when necessary.
  • Maintain current Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions licenses and complete all required manufacturer and dealership training.
  • Follow all OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all Bowser Automotive safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
