Requirements
- Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to continue technical education and manufacturer training
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Lincoln or Ford experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance according to repair orders and dealership standards.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including: Engine, Transmission, Electrical, Steering, Suspension, Braking systems, Air conditioning and HVAC.
- Test-drive vehicles and perform diagnostic testing using manufacturer-approved equipment.
- Accurately diagnose vehicle concerns and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Communicate with Service Advisors regarding additional repairs, timelines, and recommendations.
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Stay current with manufacturer training and evolving vehicle technology.
