About The Position

Solenis is seeking a Service Technician to support sales and service efforts in the Macon, GA area. This role involves conducting basic lab tests, maintaining and installing equipment, performing chemical transfers, and monitoring processes in paper and pulp mills. The technician will be responsible for maintaining detailed inventory records, reporting results, and ensuring safe work practices. This position is crucial for routine testing and monitoring at customer sites, including data entry and contributing to service report preparation. The technician will interact with customers to understand issues with chemicals or equipment, manage product inventory, and adjust chemical feed levels for optimal performance. They will also be responsible for alerting the site manager or support engineer of any problems or opportunities, troubleshooting issues, conducting expanded testing of process variables, and managing monitoring and feed equipment. Collaboration with the site team and customers is key to ensuring optimal program performance, and the role includes completing mechanical and electrical equipment repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working on mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
