About The Position

As a DeWALT Service Technician, you’ll be part of our Product Services team working as an on-site employee in a production style environment. You’ll get to handle repairs to all portable electric, pneumatic tool, construction equipment, and outdoor products. You will troubleshoot tool failure by fully or partially disassembling the unit to examine components for wear/defects and replacing parts that are worn or defective. You will also assist with maintaining a clean and safe work environment, properly inspect, analyze, and repair tools and equipment for safe operation, and perform performance & safety testing on equipment after repair. You will complete work orders using repair parts and labor to include pricing and pertinent customer information, manage inventory by ensuring accuracy with parts and accessories, and achieve daily productivity goals on the amount of tools repaired. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics and printed servicing data.
  • Knowledge of electricity principles and air flow as it applies to a power source for power tools.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Goal driven mentality. You like to meet and maintain daily/weekly/quarterly productivity goals without sacrificing quality.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adaptability in using various technological systems and familiarity with data entry and record-keeping systems

  • On-the job training provided; experience preferred but not required.
