About The Position

The Service Technician role at Rinderle Door Company is for individuals who enjoy diagnosing, solving, and taking ownership of complex mechanical and electrical systems in the field, rather than just swapping parts. This position challenges a technician's skills and requires a proactive approach to fixing things the right way and continuously improving. The company is building a team of professionals who take ownership and stand behind their work, offering a challenging role with opportunities for growth. The work involves commercial and industrial systems including overhead doors, dock equipment, mechanical systems, electrical components, operators, and controls, with troubleshooting issues that may not have obvious answers. The role is not repetitive and can be complex, with speed being a factor where tasks are easy. Every day is different, and the ability to think critically is valued over memorization.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in a mechanical, electrical, or service-related role
  • Enjoy troubleshooting and figuring things out
  • Can work independently without needing constant direction
  • Take ownership, pride in quality and finish what you start
  • Communicate well with customers and teammates
  • Driver's License (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Work on commercial and industrial systems including overhead doors, dock equipment, and mechanical systems
  • Work on electrical components, operators, and controls
  • Troubleshoot issues that don’t always have obvious answers
  • Diagnose, solve, and take ownership of real mechanical and electrical systems in the field
