About The Position

Beaudry Oil & Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician to provide safe, dependable, and professional service for our customers’ propane and fuel equipment and systems. This position requires strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities, attention to safety, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazardous Materials endorsements.
  • Acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.
  • Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work consistent overtime during busy periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Technical degree or relevant industry certification.
  • Experience servicing propane, fuel, HVAC, or related mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of propane and fuel-system regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair propane and fuel equipment and systems safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  • Install and service propane and fuel systems and related equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to promote safe operation, reliability, and optimal equipment performance.
  • Complete required system and safety testing.
  • Accurately document all inspections, installations, repairs, maintenance, and services performed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • Accurately bill customers for services provided and properly account for payments, materials, parts, and inventory.
  • Operate a handheld terminal and maintain accurate trip reports, service records, system-testing documentation, and other required paperwork.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Promptly report vehicle conditions requiring attention to support safe operation and proper maintenance.
  • Remain current on industry standards, equipment, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
