About The Position

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking an experienced, full-time Service Technician (Class B) to provide service to customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. Duties may include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments; installation using appropriate manuals; report writing; disassembly and assembly; evaluation of parts for reuse; and reconditioning. The successful candidate has at least three years of fleet or dealership experience, or technical school experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fleet or dealership experience; the overview also identifies technical school experience as relevant.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification preferred.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Read job orders and observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
