About The Position

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking an experienced, full-time Service Technician to provide service to customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. Duties may include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments; installation using proper manuals; report writing; disassembly and assembly; evaluating parts for reuse; and reconditioning. The role requires at least three years of fleet or dealership experience, or technical school experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. ASE certification and a CDL are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust them as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly.
• Tag warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and stay current on factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to increase overall customer satisfaction.
