About The Position

Community Nissan of Bloomington is hiring Service Technicians at all skill levels, from technicians early in their careers to senior diagnostic technicians. The shop is described as clean, busy, and equipped with proper tooling and OEM scan tools. Technicians are paid flat rate based on skill set and certifications, and the company invests in training. Brand-specific training and ASE certifications are considered a plus but are not required.

Technicians perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and diagnostics on customer vehicles. They document their work and collaborate with service advisors and the parts department to keep repairs moving, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Own tools appropriate to skill level; specialty and shop equipment are provided.
• Take pride in doing the job right, not just quickly.
• Team-first attitude and willingness to communicate with technicians, service advisors, and parts staff.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing training and certification.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Diagnose concerns using OEM-level test plans, scan tools, and proper verification steps.
• Handle electrical and drivability diagnostics appropriate to skill level.
• Document findings and repairs clearly and accurately.
• Work with service advisors and parts staff to keep repair flow moving.
