About The Position

Orbitalum, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Service Technician in its Brownsville, TX repair facility. This dynamic person will be expected to perform a variety of operations involving equipment assembly, component replacement, inventory management, technical training, shipping/receiving and computer related tasks.

Requirements

HS diploma, GED and/or 1 year of relevant experience
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Aptitude with various power tools preferred.
Ability to communicate with others and problem-solve as necessary
Good communication skills
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work independently
Basic computer skills/knowledge of Office, Word and Excel computer programs

Responsibilities

Perform computer related tasks such as order entry, inventory transactions, and shipping paperwork
Perform repairs and rebuilds on customer equipment, including installation of components and testing
Maintain repair facility, inventory, and the equipment needed to test machines
Travel to customers for on-site training and diagnostics
Use company provided work truck to deliver/pick up machines
Travel to customers for repair and service of machines in the field
Log equipment in and out of the system via serials, ensuring accurate tracking of customer information
Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet service deadlines
Complete and enter repair estimates for customer-owned equipment
Communicate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and ensure timely service completion
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment
