This role involves a 14 Days On / 14 Days Off schedule with flights and housing covered, or a Living Out Allowance (LOA) for local candidates based in Fort McMurray. The role stands out due to its fly-in, fly-out nature to Fort McMurray, a compressed 12-hour shift schedule with 14 days on and 14 days off providing real time off, and fully covered travel and housing (or LOA for locals).

Requirements

Mechanical background (heavy equipment, automotive, or similar)
Basic electrical & troubleshooting skills
Comfortable reading schematics and manuals
Confident using iPads / mobile tech
Strong communication & customer-facing mindset
Valid driver’s license & clean abstract
Able to pass background & drug & alcohol testing
Lift up to 50 lbs
Work in tight spaces & at heights on large equipment
Comfortable on uneven terrain and long site days
Sit/drive for extended periods
Pass ongoing site access testing (client requirement)

Nice To Haves

Experience with vehicle fire suppression systems (VFSS) (strong asset)

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, repair, and maintain vehicle fire suppression systems on heavy and off-road equipment
Service fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, alarms, and safety systems
Handle scheduled & emergency service calls on-site
Complete digital reports (iPad) with clear notes and recommendations
Work directly with customers – keep them informed and safe
Support inventory and maintain service readiness
Follow and promote strong safety practices every day
