About The Position

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., is seeking a Service Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to join the team at their Nacogdoches, TX location. The company is a leading provider of parts, equipment, and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries.

Requirements

• Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Approved safe driving record.
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the poultry production industry and the poultry producers in the area preferred.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry production facilities.
• Prior experience working with the systems found in modern poultry facilities (e.g. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating…) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Georgia Poultry customers to understand their repair needs.
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available at Georgia Poultry with which their needs can be addressed.
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilities.
• Properly bill customers for service work hours.
• Work with the Georgia Poultry in-store team to manage warranty claims.
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Georgia Poultry Equipment Company and by its vendors.
