About The Position

In business since 1966, we service Blue Bird Buses as well as Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Eaton, Meritor, Allison and DT12 trucks. This role involves performing diagnoses and troubleshooting of most vehicle issues with some supervision, completing jobs within a given time frame, and maintaining a 75% return-free work record. The ideal candidate has previously worked as an Apprentice-level technician, possesses at least 2 years of experience, and holds at least one certification.

Requirements

UTI/Lincoln Tech/Pennco Tech (or similar) Certification and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience, including work as an Apprentice-level technician.
Experience and certifications may be substituted for formal program certification.
Computerized diagnostic skills
21+ years' old (for auto insurance purposes)
Able to lift 100 lbs.
Valid/clean driver's license
Willing/able to obtain certifications (Company paid training)

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair & maintain diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks and buses
Document repairs using fleet maintenance software
Conduct road tests as required or refer to test technician
Participate in Company paid training and stay abreast of manufacturer-provided technical updates
Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals
Comply with Federal, State & local regs (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.)
