About The Position

Busch Vacuum Solutions has an immediate direct-hire opportunity open for a Service Technician 2 at our service center in Pinellas Park, FL. The work schedule is M-F 7am-330pm. A Busch Service Technician 2 is responsible for the disassembly, blasting, prepping, and painting of industrial equipment in our vacuum pump remanufacturing process. Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment: Required
  • Education: High School graduate or General Education Degree- Required
  • Computer skills: Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software- Required
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and good working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools
  • Work with a high level of initiative, be self-motivated, and possess professional maturity
  • Must be detail, goal, and safety oriented
  • Must be organized and maintain a clean and orderly workspace
  • Must possess a positive attitude, be dependable, and be trustworthy
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and pass DOT testing
  • Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required)
  • Must be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship, as Busch does not sponsor Visas.

Responsibilities

  • Remove pumps from the frame and disassemble pump components minimizing any damage to components during disassembly per the prescribed timeframe.
  • Clean industrial pumps using cold dip parts, cleaner, hot dip parts cleaner, high-pressure parts washer, bead blaster, and sandblaster.
  • Prepare and paint pumps.
  • Construct crates and prepare pumps for shipping.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment as part of the Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program.
  • Safely and productively operate material handling equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives.
  • Crosstrain to support other functions in the service center, as needed.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as directed by Management.
  • Maintain measurable and productive output as defined by production goals.
  • Follow the training provided and procedures outlined in the written operating procedures of our internal proprietary system.
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license to do local pick-up and delivery in the company pick up or box truck.
