Service Technician – Industrial Machinery

About The Position

Your primary focus in this role is to provide customers with excellent technical customer service and ensure complete satisfaction. Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, analyzing, while maintaining, repairing, and training of Syntegon Telstar equipment and associated products. This position is regionally based and involves frequent travel to customer sites across the West Coast. Please note that there is no fixed office at the address listed above.

Requirements

Technical education or 5+ years of hands‑on field service / maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities; safe working practices.
Experience with industrial equipment in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, food).
Basic PLC diagnostics and understanding of GMP documentation.
Independent working style, strong communication skills, customer‑focused mindset.
Valid driver’s licence and passport.

Nice To Haves

Experience servicing equipment such as lyophilizers, sterilizers, isolators, or containment systems.
Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments.
Ability to read basic ladder logic or fault diagnostics.
Multi-lingual (Spanish, German, or French) a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site installation, start-up, commissioning, and service of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
Execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
Troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves, sensors, heaters, PLC I/O, HMIs, and related control components
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
Support customer operations by providing equipment operation guidance and basic training.
