This role is pivotal in supporting this state-of-the-art warehouse, working with various teams to ensure efficient preventive maintenance and swift troubleshooting. Requirements

  • Electrical License: Industrial Electrician Trade Certification or Certified Construction/Maintenance Electrician or "Red Seal" Industrial Millwright License is required
  • Experience of supporting automated systems with a proficient level of electro- mechanical skills
  • Electrical fault-finding and fault-rectification skills, including the replacement and configuration of field devices (inverters, sensors, scanners etc.)
  • Mechanical fault-finding and fault-rectification skills (gearboxes / bearings / sprockets / drives etc.)
  • Experience with electrical schematics / wiring diagrams
  • Skilled in the use of standard electrical test instruments
  • Relevant vocational and / or technical qualifications
  • Valid Driver license

  • Warehouse Operations experience
  • Conveyor services or material handling services experience

Responsibilities

  • Technician I will be relied upon for troubleshooting support for non-routine problems in the material handling system.
  • Solving complex errors in an ACP (Auto Case Picking) system
  • Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical components such as: motors, motor-gearbox assemblies, rollers, bearings, shafts, sprockets
  • Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical control components such as; photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, encoders, variable frequency drives
  • Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of specialty systems
  • Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system
  • Execution of preventive maintenance (both electrical and mechanical)
  • Reporting of executed maintenance activities
  • Analysis of system errors
  • Replacements of machine spare parts
  • Reporting of problems and maintenance activities that need attention
  • Attending to call outs, faults, alarms, and warnings and monitor system from the Control Room
  • Compliance with all Vanderlande programs, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other duties / assignments that might be occasionally required by the management
