About The Position
The Security Service Technician I will be responsible for servicing and inspecting fire alarm systems. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in security and fire technology who are looking to grow their expertise in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in electronics or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in fire alarms, electrical systems, or fire prevention
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 and International Fire Code standards
- Understanding of low-voltage electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Strong report-writing and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Experience with specific security system brands or technologies is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, PSA) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and public buildings
- Testing alarm panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, strobes, horns, communication devices, and monitoring systems
- Verifying systems comply with adopted codes such as NFPA 72 and New Hampshire fire regulations
- Documenting deficiencies, violations, impairments, or failed equipment
- Preparing inspection reports and maintaining inspection records
- Coordinating with building owners, contractors, electricians, and fire departments
- Recommending corrective actions when systems are not compliant
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
