About The Position

Frontier Technologies, now part of Gexpro Services, is a world-class Supply Chain Services outsource provider specializing in production inventory management programs. With locations in Brewton, AL and Theodore, AL, Frontier Technologies specializes in Energy, Services, Engineering, and Logistics, providing quality components and services including fabrications, assemblies, subtractive manufacturing, and the rework, repair, or refurbishment of A-C Components items with in-house testing and engineering evaluations. As a job shop, Service Technicians perform various tasks and we are looking for mechanically inclined problem solvers to join our team.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Able to read and interpret work instructions
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Perform basic Math skills
• Able to accurately read/use a tape measure
• Basic computer skills
• Able to identify and operated basic hand tools and small power tools
• A “self-motivated” team player
• Able to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditions
• Able to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily
• Pass visual test
• Able to travel to customer sites
• Must be an insurable driver
• Must pass a background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Assembling and disassembling mechanical projects, machine components, and equipment daily.
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance operations, preventative maintenance and upgrades on wind energy and other industrial parts.
• Repair, replace and inspect customer parts to meet customer expectations and job instructions.
• Assist paint team in sandblasting and industrial painting of components.
• Perform basic oil maintenance on 65K gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Grinding, sanding, hand-painting material.
• Work with quality department to ensure specifications and ISO 9001 requirements are met.
• Moving material throughout the facility via forklifts, pallet jacks and overhead cranes.
• Packaging finished goods for shipment.
• Follow Company Policies and Procedures as well as OSHA Guidelines, and use proper PPE.
• Ensure the proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required work.
• Follow work instructions throughout the process, completing assigned tasks for projects following customer, engineering and SDS specifications.
• Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
• Ability to work Overtime on a very short notice to meet customer demands.
• Other job duties as directed by Site Manager or General Manager.
