About The Position

SAM Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician specializing in the Hot & Cold Side of HVAC systems in Jacksonville, FL. The company focuses on commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC, emphasizing service excellence, problem-solving, and building customer trust. This is a full-time, in-person role where technicians start their day from home in a company vehicle and are paid from the moment they begin their engine (Port-to-Port Pay). Technicians use a company-provided iPad for managing work orders and documentation. The role is focused on repair and maintenance, not sales, as the office team handles quotes, parts, and billing.

Requirements

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and other tech tools
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing
• A curious mind and a willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification
• Strong technical and electrical skills—able to read wiring diagrams and manuals

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support
• Manage work orders and documentation using a company-provided iPad
• Focus on service, with the office team handling sales-related tasks
