About The Position

Holman is a global automotive services organization committed to its core values and principles. The Service Technician will assist drivers with emergency roadside assistance, help locate suitable repair locations, and provide accurate documentation for all maintenance and repair events. This role involves verifying the necessity and fairness of repair costs, authorizing repairs for fleet vehicles, and documenting cost savings. The technician will also ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and maintain monthly metrics. The position requires a positive attitude, punctuality, consistency, and the ability to respond positively to change, remain professional under pressure, and accept constructive criticism. The technician must be accountable for their actions, keep management informed of progress, maintain positive relationships, listen effectively, and accurately complete transactions with high-quality service. All other duties and special projects as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Typing – 20-25 WPM
  • 15+ years of experience in automotive or truck repair
  • ASE Certified in 8 car or 6 truck repair categories

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or Technical education recommended

Responsibilities

  • Assist drivers with emergency roadside assistance.
  • Assist drivers in locating suitable repair locations.
  • Provide accurate documentation on all maintenance and repair events.
  • Verify that all repair and maintenance work is necessary and done at a fair price.
  • Review and authorize all repairs for fleet vehicles as necessary.
  • Document all instances where a cost savings is realized.
  • Ensure appropriate preventative maintenance schedule is followed.
  • Maintain all monthly metrics at or above the established goal.
  • Offer assistance willingly and make a positive contribution to morale.
  • Show sensitivity to and consideration for others' feelings.
  • Be punctual, regular, and consistent in attendance.
  • Respond positively to change, offer suggestions for improvements, remain calm and professional under pressure, and accept constructive criticism positively.
  • Be counted on to carry out assignments carefully and with appropriate follow-up.
