JOB SUMMARY As a Flooring Division Service Technician, your role will involve servicing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring in residential construction. You will be responsible for reviewing service tickets, and completing tasks as indicated. This may involve measuring and cutting materials, removing and installing tile, LVP/Wood, or Carpet, and ensuring that the final product meets quality standards. Additionally, you may be required to troubleshoot and repair any issues with existing tile, LVP/Wood, or carpet as well as provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Legal work authorization requirements.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • 1-year related experience and/or equivalent training, or both.
  • Attention to detail a must.
  • Knowledge of different flooring types and installation techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer orientated approach.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess tickets – Flooring or wall material installation or repair needs.
  • Taking precise measurements and determining the materials required for the job.
  • Cutting, assembling, and installing flooring materials according to design specifications.
  • Ensuring that materials are flat, plumb, level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing any issues with existing installations such as loose or hollow tiles, cracking grout, clicking floorboards, ripped carpet, or damaged surfaces.
  • Communicating effectively with teams to understand their preferences and address any concerns.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
