About The Position

The Beverage Refrigeration Technician (EPA Cert) will be responsible for receiving dispatched service calls, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing beverage refrigeration equipment. This role involves ensuring product quality by checking syrup levels, changing flavors, and cleaning machines. The technician will also maintain inventory of parts, tools, and their vehicle, and document all work performed. Additionally, they will ensure point-of-sale materials are fresh and communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. In some locations, responsibilities may include machine movement and other assigned duties.

Requirements

Strong mechanical background.
Type I, II or higher EPA Certification to service refrigeration equipment.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift 55 lbs or more on a regular basis.
Occasional lifting in excess of 70 lbs required.
Work may require the use of a ladder from time to time, ranging from a step ladder up to extension ladders designed for roof access.
Ability to drive more than 40% of the time.
Must have steel-toed shoes.

Graduate of Technical or Vocational School a plus.

Responsibilities

Receive dispatched service calls and ensure prompt response based on estimated time of arrival (ETA).
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose service problems, and make necessary repairs.
Check quality of all products, including syrup levels and changing out flavors.
Clean around machines.
Maintain inventory and maintenance on equipment such as parts, tools, and vehicle.
Document all work performed and close out all activities upon completion.
Ensure that the point of sale (POS) material is fresh.
Communicate effectively with both customers and co-workers.
In some locations, be responsible for machine movement and various other duties as assigned.
