Alta Interns will receive: An opportunity for temporary employment, which provides practical experience and competitive salaries. All internships are paid internships. Consideration for future internships and fulltime employment based on intern performance. Eligibility To qualify for the intern program, students must: Have the right to work in the U.S. Have daytime 20 hours a week and be in their last 6 months of the student program.Be willing to accept the internship for at least a 12-week periodAchieve and maintain at least a cumulative 2.8 grade-point average through your last semester prior to the starting date of the intern period. Pass a physical & drug screen and background check. We regard interns as professionals rather than students and give you challenging assignments to provide exposure to various career options within your discipline of study. Selection Process Interns are evaluated and selected based upon: Academic performanceExperience from high school automotive classes, military training or exhibit a mechanical aptitudeReferences from your schoolDemonstrated leadership potential Interest in a career in Construction Equipment Industry Communication skills Must meet initial mechanical and aptitude testing requirements Intern candidates are interviewed during on-campus interviews. In some cases, a phone interview and a second in person interview may take place between the student and hiring manager before an offer is given. What we expect from you during your internship period: 3 months internship that includes a comprehensive program - learn and earn! Gain hands-on in the shop experience while working with one of our mentors!
