About The Position

As a Service Technician supporting United Rentals’ Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division, you will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on rental flooring equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will help ensure equipment is ready for rental, demonstrate equipment to customers, and assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery. The role also involves providing exceptional customer service. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
Report machine condition to management.
Repair rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, identifying wiring faults, and tagging equipment as rental ready.
Demonstrate equipment for customers.
Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
