About The Position
BFC Solutions is hiring a Service Technician in the Minneapolis area. This role involves traveling to commercial customer locations to perform scheduled HVAC filter service and basic preventive maintenance. Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Comfortable using ladders and working at heights up to 36 feet
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
- Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in HVAC is not required.
- Transferable hands-on experience, including: Facility or apartment maintenance, Warehouse or yard operations, Construction, Roofing, Pest control, Cable installation, Utility work, Route service, Delivery, Equipment operation, Refrigeration, Mechanical work.
Responsibilities
- Travel to commercial customer locations such as Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar General, and other facilities throughout your assigned territory to perform scheduled HVAC filter service and basic preventive maintenance.
- Driving an assigned route in your company vehicle
- Replacing commercial HVAC filters
- Performing basic preventive maintenance and inspections
- Working independently at customer locations
- Using a smartphone to receive and complete work orders
- Working on commercial rooftops and using ladders
- Loading and organizing filters, tools, and supplies
