About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced service technician to maintain and repair petroleum fueling equipment and systems. The technician troubleshoots gasoline dispensing units and electronic point-of-sale systems, installs and tests petroleum equipment, and performs scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance. The role involves communicating technical issues clearly to customers and working alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other technicians, and trainees. Hours may vary based on workload and customer needs rather than following a typical 8–5 schedule. The position requires daily local travel and working outdoors in varied weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally daily.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work as part of a team with branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees, and assist trainees with training and certifications when paired with them.
