About The Position

WillScot Service Technicians inspect, repair, and prepare modular buildings and mobile office trailers in the yard. Work includes framing and finish carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, HVAC checks and maintenance, and other modular-building repairs. The role requires attention to quality and a commitment to safety. Technicians may also work at field locations as business needs require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Some computer knowledge.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers, salespeople, contractors, shop personnel, and employees at other branch locations.
• Carpentry knowledge and experience.
• Current valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety, transportation, and environmental policies.
• Promote employee health and safety through workplace improvements, training, observations, and scheduled branch assessments.
• Attend periodic safety meetings and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record free from points.
• Repair mobile office trailers, including carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and other modular-building repairs.
• Inspect buildings being checked in or out of rental service, determine repair scope, and assess customer-billable damage.
• Create floor plan drawings as needed.
• Perform customer-requested modifications.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of equipment, tools, parts, and VAPS needed for service tasks.
• Provide courteous customer service in person and over the phone, and explain repairs and services to customers.
• Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates and meet stated quality levels.
• Perform service-related yard tasks as requested.
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
• Perform HVAC system checks and maintenance according to company guidelines.
• Perform duties at field locations when business needs require.
