Service Tech/Hybrid Driver with CDL (Hazmat/Tanker)
About The Position
We're looking for an outstanding Service Tech/Hybrid Driver to join our Team at our Lovingston Plant. This position is a hybrid role requiring cross training in both Service and Fuel delivery. We're seeking someone who has a real passion for customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment. A class A or B CDL is required with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements. This is a full-time, year-round role with amazing benefits. Requirements
- Possess a CDL Class A or B License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Commitment to safety in all aspects of your work!
- Experience maneuvering in tight quarters and driving in snow, ice and other weather conditions
- Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses/nozzles weighing up to 50 lbs
- Good driving record with no major convictions
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written correspondence with Dispatcher and customers
- Able to read and understand road signs, instructions, routes and other paperwork
- Displays a positive, “can-do” attitude and interacts well with others on a team
- Pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, and MVR check.
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical skills to conduct Service work, tank maintenance and other tasks.
- Ability to load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane & other fuel to and from specified destinations.
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Operates delivery truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Collaborate with Dispatcher to deliver exceptional Service work, and plan and follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Provide outstanding 'Tiger Way' customer service by supplying service information and answering questions.
- Completes required on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries and responses.
- Ensure truck and associated equipment are clean and in good working order.
- Outside of heating season, assists with plant maintenance and other tasks as needed.
