About The Position

Fremont Motors is looking for a Service Support Specialist to join their Service Department. This role is designed to keep the entire operation moving smoothly, focusing on automotive service flow and problem-solving. The specialist will collaborate with Service Advisors, Technicians, Managers, and Fixed Operations leadership to enhance shop efficiency, communication, repair order accuracy, customer service, and turnaround times. This position is ideal for individuals with prior experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in dealership Fixed Operations who are passionate about improving operational processes.

Requirements

  • Previous Service Advisor, Service Writer, Dispatcher, or dealership Fixed Operations experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of automotive service department operations
  • Familiarity with a DMS, service scheduling systems, and warranty processes
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative to take action
  • Ability to start and complete projects, delivering results
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technician dispatching and daily workflow
  • Monitor shop schedules and identify bottlenecks
  • Ensure repair orders move efficiently from opening to completion
  • Verify accuracy, documentation, and timely closure of repair orders
  • Assist in ensuring warranty repairs meet manufacturer and dealership requirements
  • Review technician write-ups and documentation for accuracy
  • Manage internal vehicle reconditioning, UCIs, and PDIs to expedite inspection and lot readiness
  • Maintain service lot organization and ensure proper key and vehicle security
  • Support Customer Pay opportunities to increase service department revenue
  • Help maintain strong CSI/NPS and overall customer satisfaction
  • Monitor department processes and ensure team adherence to established procedures
  • Assist in controlling unnecessary expenses and policy adjustments
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready service records
  • Identify problems, develop solutions, and implement process improvements
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment
