About The Position

This role serves as a Service Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Mission Command Exercises (MCE) at the SOMTC. The position involves developing, integrating, and refining exercise support scenarios and planning inputs, providing expert guidance on service support considerations during exercise design and execution, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure realistic training conditions. The SME will also contribute to after-action reviews, data collection, and continuous improvement of exercise processes, as well as support research, planning, and operational integration to enhance training effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Associate degree: 5 years of related military experience OR 2 years of MCE research/planning/execution may substitute.
  • Graduate of a U.S. Military Officer Education System course above the entry level--Captain Career Course, Intermediate Level Education (ILE), Basic Warrant Officer Course, Warrant Officer Advanced Course, or equivalent--OR graduate of the NCOES Advanced NCO Course, First Sergeant Course, or Sergeants Major Course; ability to formulate and integrate exercise scenarios.
  • SOF assignment--Special Forces (SF), Military Information Support Operations (MISO), Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation (SOA), or Special Mission units--OR service in Military Intelligence (MI), Logistics Corps, Field Artillery, or DoW equivalent.
  • SECRET clearance required.

Responsibilities
