This position involves receiving, responding to, and assisting members visiting the credit union. The role includes promoting and selling products and services in person, establishing and maintaining financial accounts, issuing debit and pre-paid cards, and ensuring adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures. The Service Representative will also assist in developing new business by being knowledgeable about all products and services, performing various member transactions, balancing their teller drawer daily, and assisting with the security of cash and member information. A key aspect of the role is understanding member relationship management to identify sales opportunities for referral to the sales team and generating a threshold number of product and service referrals. The position requires responding to member requests, concerns, problems, and complaints, communicating information accurately, and identifying member needs to direct them to appropriate departments. Additionally, the role involves correspondence-related functions, compiling information, preparing and maintaining files, entering data, assisting the Branch Manager as needed, and responding to inquiries via various channels. The Service Representative will also assist in training new representatives, recommend policy changes, and ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Acts.
