About The Position

The Service Representative reports to the Director – Brokerage. They work closely with Sales Representatives to ensure business development, personalized customer service, and the maintenance of a strong relationship. You will achieve fulfillment in the following functions: Accompany the sales representative to finalist presentations as needed. Participate in the implementation of new groups (follow-ups, reports, support to the administrative sector, participation in meetings, etc.). Support the work of the administrative sector by participating in the registration of new groups and providing all required information. Master group insurance plans and the Company's systems to establish the structure for a new group. Analyze verification documents before submitting them to the consulting actuary and/or the client to ensure that the coded data complies with the specifications and/or the previous insurer's brochures. Support group managers by providing them with adequate documentation, information, and explanations necessary for plan administration. Provide training to plan administrators and market intermediaries on technological tools and the administration kit. Assist the sales representative in verifying brochures and contractual documents before handing them over to the market intermediary and/or the client. Respond to client and market intermediary questions regarding general administration, coverage, contractual clauses, products, services, etc., and inform the sales representative of specific requests. Intervene with various sectors of the Company to resolve problematic files such as difficulties with disability management files, issues with medical and dental claims, exceptional cases, billing, cost-plus requests, etc. Conduct courtesy visits to groups determined by the sales representative to maintain a privileged relationship with group managers. Promote Beneva's new offerings and participate in the distribution and communication of advertising material. Represent the Company in employee presentations and participate in training sessions as a facilitator or resource person. Collect complaints and feedback from market intermediaries (brokers and/or consulting actuaries); identify their needs and propose desirable improvements within the company. Execute, at the request of their immediate supervisor, any other occasional work related to their department.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in group insurance.
  • Hold a market intermediary license.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability and great interest in verbal and written communication.
  • Functional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.
  • Ease in developing relationships with clients.
  • Sense of responsibility and organization of priorities.
  • Concern for customer satisfaction.
  • Good learning ability and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software.
