This is a part-time Service Representative position at a credit union. The role involves assisting members visiting the credit union, promoting and selling products and services, and managing financial savings accounts. Responsibilities include issuing debit and pre-paid cards, ensuring adherence to policies, and assisting in new business development by understanding all products and services. The position also requires performing various member transactions such as deposits, loan payments, withdrawals, and check cashing. A key aspect is understanding member relationship management to identify sales opportunities for referral to the sales team, and generating a threshold number of product and service referrals. The role also involves responding to member requests, concerns, problems, and complaints, communicating information accurately, and directing members to appropriate departments. Additionally, the position includes correspondence-related functions, compiling and routing information, preparing and maintaining files, and entering data into systems. Assistance to the Branch Manager may be required, along with responding to inquiries via various channels. Training new service representatives and recommending policy changes are also part of the duties. Compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Acts is essential, including monitoring for illegal activity. Other duties may be assigned.
