About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and community-focused professional to serve as a key ambassador for the credit union. In this part-time role, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with legislators, community leaders, and corporate partners to increase brand awareness, strengthen community presence, and support business growth. You will also champion financial literacy outreach and help advance the credit union’s mission through advocacy, sponsorships, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Polished communicator with strong relationship-building, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Experience in community engagement, business development, government affairs, financial services, marketing partnerships, or a related field.
  • Comfortable representing the organization in public settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple external relationships.
  • Ability to support both advocacy and outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a representative and ambassador for the credit union in the community, building strong relationships with legislators, community leaders, and corporate partners.
  • Promote the credit union’s brand through participation in sponsorships, civic events, chamber functions, fundraising activities, and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and educational sessions that highlight the credit union’s products, services, and value to current and prospective members.
  • Partner with internal teams to maximize community visibility, strengthen lead generation efforts, and support account growth opportunities.
  • Identify and manage sponsorship, partnership, and Select Employer Group opportunities that increase exposure and drive new business.
  • Support financial literacy outreach efforts that improve members’ financial well-being and advance the credit union’s mission.
  • Monitor legislative and community developments and provide updates and presentations to leadership and the board as needed.
  • Attend key advocacy, civic, and industry events, including conferences, summits, lunch-and-learns, and community meetings.
  • Provide high-level member support, service, and issue resolution related to select credit union products and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
